3. I think complications with the DD's pregancy.

There won't really be any but that will be their reason. The reason has to gather a lot of sympathy from the base to accept it so that's my thought.

5. She reminds me very much of a multistroke dementia patient

I took care of years ago. He'd be wide awake and paying close attention to everything around him, but if you talked to him, you quickly realized nobody was home any more.

We had to agree that an honest assessment of his mental status would have been "alert but stupid," but we weren't allowed to write that about a fellow human being no matter how true it was.

That's Palin, though. She's alert but stupid.

Unfortunately, unlike my former patient, she's not unoffensive. He only screeched when he had to pee.
