As a survivor of TWO brain tumors, please hope for the best for Teddy Kennedy

I am living proof that you can make it. Please think only good thoughts, and pray for his safety if you are so inclined (I go for my one year MRI Tuesday morning to see if I remain disease free).

Sen. Edward Kennedy, who has been in treatment for brain cancer, was taken by ambulance to a hospital near his Cape Cod vacation home Friday after complaining of feeling ill.

A 911 call from the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port came around 5 p.m. Friday, said Barnstable police Sgt. Ben Baxter. Kennedy was taken to Cape Cod Hospital and was "alert and responsive" during the trip, Baxter said.

Representatives for Kennedy and the hospital did not immediately return calls for comment.

17. Sadly, not all brain tumors are equal. Ted has a primary brain tumor. A high grade glioblastoma.

Ted Kennedy is a man to be admired, in many ways. That does not mean he has any reasonable chance of long-term survival.

21. Every day you open your eyes and take a breath is one more day of survival

one more day then they told you you would have, one more gift to enjoy until you close your eyes to sleep, wondering if the next time you lay your head on that pillow it is the last time.

You don't have to tell us how serious or how impossible Ted's chances for survival are, you only need to be thankful he has spent one more day on this Earth working for YOU and me as he has for most of his life.

Brain cancer, in ANY form, is NOTHING to be wished on any man, friend or enemy. ANd every day we can praise and thank Ted Kennedy is one more good day for Planet Earth.

29. I am not as far along as you are, but

my three month CT scan came back clean. I have colon cancer, had surgery in January, then chemo and radiation. I am sending Teddy Kennedy my very best. Cancer truly sucks! But I am glad that he is back home now.
