It is not racism, but you have not paid your dues ism.
This was the same thing faced by John Kennedy and even Bill Clinton, when he first ran. The established ranks have a relationship of "I'm a Hoosier, your a Hoosier" aka Kurt Vonnegut, view of the world. They see themselves as having a "turn" at the the top office after they put in so many years in office.

This is what you see in the seething of McCain, in the back hands of Bill who is now an establishment personality himself. It is a very human emotion, that affects us all. Hey it even affects the DU, sometimes.

McCain is coming apart at the seams, because Obama is handing him his lunch, the new guy, and its not his turn, in McCains mind.

That was what all that experience meme was about..did not work, then they tried to co opt Obamas change meme, including picking Palin , which has also blew up in their faces.

Now they are back to the, I have the experience you don't meme, and again, Obama is just killing them.

So these are not racist people, these are people past their expiration date, and trying to repackage themselves as fresh. If McCain was able to stop being snarky, and able to understand the reality, he would have a better chance. But no way is this going to happen. He has tied himself up in that .."it's not your turn" view.

Guess what, it is Obamas turn, and our turn. Say good night Gracie. :hi:

1. "So these are not racist people, these are people past their expiration date"
Sometimes those categories aren't mutually exclusive....

2. I agree--I think it's mostly the paying-dues thing, but I also think it's personal
for McLoon--he just damn doesn't like Obama, doesn't respect him, can't relate to him, and Obama sees right through him and isn't sufficiently awestruck by his POWness.

3. Oh I agree, it has gotten good and personal, especially for McCain
and Obama is like a cat playing with the McCain mouse. Obama in the end could care less what McCain thinks. He (Obama) owned that stage, his presence was self assured, and McCain looked scared out of his mind, and was angry by his own ineptness. I loved how Barack and Michelle strolled across that stage to the McCains, who were huddled together in a knot. It was so telling
