Even if some republicans were calling for more regulation
GOP leadership would of made sure to not include it in any bill sent to Bush....

Bush would of vetoed the bill.

Tell that to any Republican's that say they wanted more regulation.

1. More to that point
For ever attempt at regulation Conservatives had ten deregulation/privatization schemes going.

Because, the campaign contributors and lobbyist ran DC. I want to believe in change but when they offer millions, vacations, prostitutes or fulfil any desire, it's hard to resist temptation.

2. Sic Sarah on 'em
She's gonna clean up the corruption on Wall Street, darn tootin'.

AND she's against gummint regulation, wants Washington out of the way so we can all be Mavericks.

I'd love to hear the vapid twit explain the particulars of that bit of Wasilla magic.

3. Typical Shell Game
Amazing how until recently right wingers knew nothing about ACORN or could have told you who Goldman-Sachs is...but now they're all experts. They typical GOOP game of revisionist history to make any and all messes the fault of Democrats and to deny the past 7 1/2 years even existed. It's like these messes leap-frogged from Clinton's penis right into what we're encountering today and that now these goons play their faux outrage and ignore their own conflicts and complicity.

Yes, boooshie would have vetoed any bill that regulated his "base". All we need do is back things up 3 years...the hey day of the "K Street Project" and wanna bet we see a lot of Wall Street money went into those coffers. The "dereg" game was never to open up markets, but to constrict them...and this is what's happening again.

What people aren't noticing here is that out of this mess, more money is now in the control of less hands.
