28. I live in NC now even our republican neighbors are goin

for Obama. We are 'new' here, but the county is mostly dem from what we see.
We have only been here just under 2 years. We have (my partner mostly)
been talking to the next over neighbors, who voted republican before,
telling them if those running the gop were real republicans they would represent us as in
we the people, not just the greedy rich, they agreed. I don't talk to them much I am too radical and pissed off that the White House has been stolen in the 2000 election then 20004.
When our neighbor said Mcsame is lame several weeks ago I thought I was hearing things or hallucinatin.

It's a boon from the massive caucus turnouts. We have people involved once again in politics that had previously had their will to try broken by the redistricting and other Republican dirty tricks. Work locally to keep the meet-and-greets going and focus on small local gains. The more you can keep the local Democrats involved the more local change you'll begin seeing.

I don't know if you saw my post a while back when I volunteered at the balloon festival here. I was at a booth helping to register people and I noticed 2 grumpy old looking guys across the walkway staring at us all...they had on Sarah Palin polo shirts. They were there for a while, arms crossed, frowning. Guess that life size cardboard cut out of Obama that the people who organized the booth had in front of the "register to vote" sign got their attention :-) . After the my initial "how creepy" feeling subsided I started to think "they are scared. They have probably NEVER see so many Collin County Dems so energized before".
Did you see how many of us voted in the primaries???? 70,000!!!! In 2004 primaries, there were only 6,000 Dem voters!! Then there are the 23,000 new voters registered here SINCE the primaries!!! And from the drives that I have volunteered at, I can tell you, the people were not coming across as McLame supporters!!

Maybe with some luck, after Nov 4th, we will see "Sam Johnson's retirement party" headlines in the Plano Star Courier!!!
