6. Did he use it in context of his full name, or without his first name?

If he calls him B. Hussein Obama or Hussein Obama, then that's not appropriate. If he calls him "Barack Hussein Obama", without other condescending remarks, then it wouldn't be much different than saying Hillary Rodham Clinton, George W. Bush, George Herbert Walker Bush (as I have heard him referred several times), etc.

It's all a matter of context. This is probably a case where I would say it was used inappropriately (I don't know anything about it, I'm just guessing). But I certainly don't think there should be a moratorium on calling Senator Obama by his full name.
