OUCH!

It's like Spinal Tap - but it really happened.

1. I'm like not enough time has passed
who wants to go to the theater to watch this, when we can pick up a history book

And bush's legacy is actually topping Hoover's as the worst presnit in Murican modern history

2. This will flop.
Oliver Stone is nuts. He isn't anything like Michael Moore.

3. That concerns me.
It trivializes the evil that he has done. Secondly, we don't 10% of what was really going on behind the scenes. I think we need more time for the documents to appear, hearings to be held, trials, discovery, conviction, and so on. We have only seen the tip of the iceberg.

4. I suspect that anyone on DU already knows most of the dimwit's foibles.
The rest of Amercuns won't believe it. I don't want to watch it because I've already seen the train wreck once. It's too painful.

5. it looks funny as hell.
and yet i want no part of reliving the nightmare of the last 8 years. i want it to end.

it will flop, be fodder for the politics of resentment on Faux & CNN, & ultimately interfere with obama putting the final nail in the maverick's campaign coffin.

10. I don't see how it could possibly be remotely funny.
And as someone else said, we don't know enough yet so that Stone could make it be "true."

So maybe in ten or fifteen years I'll be able to stand to watch it, but probably not.

16. Me Too
The first time I saw the "Once in a Lifetime" trailer I thought it was just really bad taste to release this movie at this time, with the election so close.

Now that I've seen the other trailer, too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyDvUwRalXY - I have a feeling that if I go see this, I'm going to leave the theatre in tears.
