We have an old fashioned Gas War going on right here in Ft. Worth. Gas has been dropping 3-4 cents every single day. Unfreaking believable. :bounce:

2. You know whats bad?
Is that we've now been conditioned to think that $2.74 is cheap for gas.

OK has 3 refineries which look to be helping supply a good portion of the "heartland"

Here's the national landscape re: gas prices

Seeing more Obama signs and supporters here then ever before but not sure it will reach critical mass

4. Sounds like Big Oil has been instructed not to squeeze us too hard...
To what end, that's anyone's guess. Might just be so we don't come after them with torches and pitchforks.

7. It's a giant scheme

Around the DFW area I watched gas go up and down....and diesel stayed around $1 more per gallon.
Then when gas got closer to $4 a gallon...the margin narrowed to within 30 cents.
I think the powers that be have determined that our threshold at this time is $4/gallon so they will take care not to exceed that without more conditioning.
With the economy in the toilet...they are going to at least make us grateful that the price of gas is coming down.
They are still fleecing you....but make no mistake, they'll get it from you somewhere else.
