So why were they clapping at the closing bell of the stock market today?
I know it's "traditional" but today at least it seemed like a bizarre anomaly.

1. No jumpers, maybe?
Sometimes, you have to grab those little victories.

5. Maybe because it finished only a little bit down after a 1000 point swing?
It was pretty much the craziest day ever that wasn't a flat out crash.

7. Same reason we Bengals fans clap at the end of a Bengals game
We can stop losing until they ring the bell (blow the whistle again).

9. All things considered...
The day ended very well.

My new saying for 2008: Any day where you drop less than $5,000 is a good day.

10. Because a truly miserable week for them was OVER.
I'm sure the local bars were packed soon after.
