Either Ford will merge or the Ford family will take it private again.

5. Terrible completely horrible idea

Chrysler CEO is the JO from Home Depot that almost ran that into the ground and had a 200 million parachute that paid him for severance. That means if he wanted 200 million all he had to do was get fired. No freaking way do they need to merge. Haven't we learned anything? We need diversity in this country and lots of it.

7. Well I don't think the OP is the one planning this

So no need to chastise him on "his" merger plans. Somehow I doubt that CEO of GM vets his ideas here on DU.

Its an interesting idea. Massive mergers however take years to complete and virtually never yield all the benefits expected.

No doubt this is being kicked around as a plan to save the company. Not sure if it would work or not (I'm skeptical)

10. Your right I changed it to we. I wasn't pointing this at him, it was
directed to whomever had this lame idea and Americans as a whole. We don't need monopolies we need larger diversity.
