So yesterday a woman at a mccain rally said that Obama was an Arab
which is why he shouldn't win.

mccain tried to stop the hate that his campaign had been spreading

What is probably even more disturbing is the implication that there is something "evil" about being an Arab

mccain only addressed the hatred that was being generated about Obama, not the racism being portrayed against Arabs

It is not only the mccain and the republicans perpetuating this racism, but the silence of the media is also

4. That woman gave McCain the opportunity to talk about
not prejudging on the basis of race/ethnicity/religion etc., and he blew it bigtime.

A decent human being would have corrected the woman by not only pointing out the inaccurancy of her statement, but by pointing out the wrongness of the attitude behind it.

McCain's reply smacked of condescension toward Obama and racism toward an entire group of people, and the media is treating him like some sort of saint for having said it. It's disgusting.

7. That clip was playing on Headline News
Over and over.

It looked to me like McCain looked at her after correcting her and decided she was ga-ga and he was waisting his time with her and turned away.
