Go into a federal office and you will see the photographs of the hierarchical order of those affiliated with the office, the US president topping the list. The pictures are typically of white people, probably 98%.

Obama will soon be at the top of the order, in charge of a whole lot of white folks. That formality alone represents meaningful welcomed change and will have a healthy impact on today's youth.

Heck, in my neck of the woods, folks are still waiting for that "help" Bush promised was on the way.

1. Really looking forward to taking down Bush's picture
One of the boards I serve on has an association with the USDA so we have Bush/Cheyney/Sec of Ag pictures on the wall.

2. My note to Obama when I donated to him on DU
was that he make sure to purge those who "serve at the pleasure of" Bush. Bush has filled the ranks with Bible whackers. I look forward to (to quote Bush) a whole passel of pics coming down. I'm contributing as often as possible to remove the smugshots off federal walls.

3. Paradigm Shift
We need that kind of paradigm shift. I don't think our country can progress without it, and if we don't progress we are likely to do a lot more damage in this world. I look forward to what it will feel like to have "President Obama".

5. The US is screaming for that shift
despite the 30% of the country that is hopelessly ignorant....probably the dumbest people on the planet despite coming from the "richest" country in the world. Those OH interviews were painful to watch.

One thing's for sure: education will spearhead the needed change (starting with OH), and the new education plan will be funded this time.

6. an Obama presidency will have a hugely positive subliminal impact
eight years of looming dark clouds will lift. no more doom and gloom fear mongering, no more "it's hard work" while sitting on one's ass all day, no more Texas twang pidgeon English.

Imagine! Standard English returning to the WH! The mind boggles!
