The Company You Keep
My mama used to tell us that "you're known by the company you keep." Well, seeing as how there's all this concern about "associations" with the folks you "pal around" with, I found the info in this article to be a bit entertaining.

It's from the Greeley Daily Tribune www.greeleytrib.com

Musgrave to speak before Palin Monday

Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave will speak before Sarah Palin at her Budweiser Events Center rally in Loveland Monday afternoon.

Musgrave campaign spokesman Jason Thielman said Palin and Musgrave, R-Fort Morgan, have similar records on the issues, but that he doesn't know if Palin will speak about Musgrave's race against Fort Collins Democrat Betsy Markey for Colorado's 4th Congressional seat at the rally.

President George W. Bush stumped for Musgrave in northern Colorado before elections in 2004 and 2006 when her races were also very close.

Country music star Hank Williams Jr. will also sing before Palin takes the stage Monday at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.

Tom Kise, McCain regional spokesman, said Williams will play "a couple songs" before Palin speaks to the crowd.

Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee and Alaskan Governor, will also be joined by Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colo., and his wife Joan at the rally after traveling from Colorado Springs, said Sean Conway, Allard's chief of staff.

Palin will appear in Loveland at noon after a rally at 8 a.m. Monday at Security Service Field, the home of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox baseball team.

An e-mail to supporters asked people attending the Colorado Springs event to wear red for "a visually stunning rally."

Doors to the northern Colorado event will open at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

After Loveland, Palin will travel to Grand Junction for a rally at 6 p.m.

Personally, I find it a bit eerie that they ask attendees to dress for a "visually stunning rally".

Beyond that, and germane to the topic, Palin will be accompanied by two people who are multiple award winners: outgoing (thankfully!) Senator Wayne Allard has been named "Most Useless Senator" and Musgrave has repeatedly won CREW's "Most Corrupt" designation.

Musgrave's campaign is also marketing her as Colorado's own Sarah Palin.

Palin should sue for defamation.
