MO Rethug using his youung daughter to attack opponent

Sam Graves, MO-6, is running a disgusting attack ad against his Democratic opponent, former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes. He has his little kid deliver the following zingers:

SAM: I'm Sam Graves. Emily and I approve this message.

EMILY: That's my dad, Sam Graves. When he's not standing up to politicians in Washington, he's on the farm doing chores. Dad says a day's pay deserves an honest day's work. Well, Mayor Kay Barnes hasn't been honest throwing mud at my dad.

I say, "Dad, doesn't Mayor Barnes know that Missouri teachers have endorsed you? Missouri fire fighters, too. And every year you give back your unspent office budget to taxpayers." Dad says --

SAM: Sweetie, just trust the voters.

EMILY (to camera): OK. I trust you.

What kind of a scumbag not only puts his kid in an attack ad, but lets her deliver the attack? More Rethug "family values". I saw this tonight and wanted to vomit.

The ad itself is here: http://blogs.kansascity.com/tvbarn/2008/10/the-most-adorab.html

1. It's not greatly different from Fundies who send their kids to school with bible tracts
Operating under the pretense that "the children are spreading God's Word on their own initiative."

No doubt, if pressed, Graves would claim that his daughter wanted to appear insisted that she appear in the ad, to set the record straight.

4. Rick Santorum tried that with his kids; it backfired.
Santorum was billing a PA school district for his kids' cyber-school tuition when he did not live there. He made a campaign commercial with his brood of kids whining about how mean it was for people to attack his dad.

He got blasted by the local media here in PA and ultimately lost his reelection bid.

6. Isn't that sweet?
If she could vote for him, his own daughter would vote for her daddy. Gosh, who wouldn't be impressed by that?
