Check in if you've ALREADY voted for the 1st president of the 21st century.
I voted for Barack Obama, the first president of the 21st century, 12 days ago, by absentee ballot, and I feel good, like I knew I would.

5. I Voted For Him 4 Years Ago...
This November will be the 4th time I've voted for him. First in the Democratic primaries in '04, then for Senate and then again last March in the Illinois primary.

It was fun the other day taking a ride into what was once ruby red Repugnican areas around Chicago and seeing more Obama signs than for Gramps. Around here, we're all excited about our hometown favorite!

7. I did four days ago, although I'm not 100% convinced my vote will be counted.
In my district in NJ, they have the Sequoia computer voting machines and they're subject to corruption, etc. So I went to the county seat, completed an absentee ballot, and hand-delivered it to the Board of Elections.

Now I've heard that because my ballot has the computer format of SAT's (fill in the ovals), it will be counted through a machine that is just as easily hackable, etc. as the Sequoia machines. So much for the illusion of paper ballots.

And have decided to devote at least some of my time to the gotv effort. Going out on Monday PM in fact. And I may phone bank for a local Union as well and I am not a phone talking kind of guy.
One more thing, here in Iowa, we have paper ballots with little ovals next to each candidates name that the voter fills in. Very simple. Every state should do that.

101. Early voted 10/18
Took about an hour from the time I got there to the time I was done. My parents voted last week and so did my 70-year-old Uncle Phil, who registered to vote for the first time ever just to cast his vote for Obama.

103. I voted for Barack Obama today.
Dropped off my ballot at Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Also voted for Jeff Merkley for US Senate, Earl Blumenaur for US Congress, and a host of other good Democrats.

And of course I voted against any ballot measure having to do with Bill Sizemore.
