McCain slams New York Times

JOHN McCain's presidential campaign blasted The New York Times today for an "unprecedented attack" on his wife, as both Republican and Democratic teams exchanged barbs over voter fraud allegations ahead of the November 4 election.

The Times' profile of Cindy McCain delves into the background of the millionaire beer heiress, married to the Republican Arizona senator for more than 30 years.

McCain's campaign fired back immediately, describing the profile as "gutter journalism at its worst'' and a "barrage of petty and personal attacks''.

The article noted the candidate's spouse had a role in the Keating Five savings-and-loan scandal, she "endured several miscarriages alone'' while her husband worked in Washington, and she was "caught stealing drugs from her nonprofit organisation to feed her addiction to painkillers''.

Cindy McCain lawyer invokes Obama drug use

(snip)
"You have not tried to find Barack Obama's drug dealer that he wrote about in his book, Dreams of My Father," Dowd wrote in a two-page letter sent to Keller while the paper was reporting a piece about Cindy McCain.

The McCain campaign released the missive late Friday night in response to that story, to be published in the paper's Saturday edition. It's the first time anybody so closely associated with McCain has raised the issue.

1. The difference is that Obama didn't hide anything about his
drug use and McCain wants to hide the ugly episode involving his wife.

And anyway, he has lost the moral right to be outraged over anything said or written about him or his wife.
They are running a disgusting campaign and it was their decision noone forced them to do it.

4. There is another big difference - Obama didn't steal from his own "charitable" organization
or forge his subordinates signatures on bogus scripts. He also didn't have that shit Dowd come in and get her off with no punishment and sweep it under the rug.

7. You have not tried to find Barack Obama's drug dealer??
Why do I have a feeling that soon the McCain campaign will drag out a South Side Chicago drug dealer to say "Yeah I was sellin' Barack eightballs of cocaine". Will they call him "Joe the Drug Dealer"??

9. John McCain could care less what is said about his wife. His only concern is how
it impacts his campaign. Any husband who cannot be at their wife's side after a miscarriage has no feelings for her whatsoever.

"Mrs. McCain has called the separations painful, volunteering that she endured several miscarriages alone." For her tovolunteer this, shows the deep hurt.

I can state with certainty that when you have good friends you don't need a dealer.
