Too effin' funny -- Freeps prepare to hunker down in shelters
I'm sure this isn't the first time they've talked about hiding from "da gubmint"--the first time, most likely, was whenever somebody showed them enlistment papers.

But to see these anal dumplings squawking like Chicken Little, "The sky is falling!" when they think about Obama being president...priceless in its hilarity.

If you want to eat up their bandwidth (read $$), click this link--but be sure to pee beforehand, just in case you laugh as hard as I did:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2109648/posts

If you'd rather not soil your modem, here are some highlights, ranging from the usual...

"Buy more ammo while you can." (It'd be fun to troll there about a year or so into Obama's presidency and say, "The ammo's still for sale, isn't it...feeling stupid? Oh, wait--you were BORN that way."

...to the paranoid delusional, this asshole needs a straitjacket variety:

If Obama wins, and he clearly stole the election, I will begin preparing. I will stock up on what needs to be gathered, and I will make associations with those of like mind. I will wait and see the nation's response to full-fledged socialist rule. If they progress to Chavez-style, and look ready to make it permanent by suppressing opposition, I will become defiant and work to reverse socialism by whatever means are available.

Making associations with those of like mind requires that you have a mind. Sorry, "moran", that's not you. And "whatever means are available" sure sounds like a threat to me....

If he wins and he doesn't cheat, I will work on the political process, but keep an eye out for repression. I don't mind losing a fair fight, so long as we still have a chance to convince our fellow citizens that we have made a terrible mistake. I think they would wake up from their stupor and realize that about a month into an Obama presidency. But that's the point when the thugocracy swings into action, attacking the dissenters, propagandizing with the MSM, shutting down talk radio, sending the FBI after internet posters, until people are afraid to do anything. We have to be ready before that happens.

When people have jobs and can keep their homes, they'll really think they've made a mistake. :sarcasm:

We are really close to losing our Republic and our Freedom. We can "hope" that Obama is just a naive socialist, a Carter. But I think the reality will prove more sinister, and that we will find he has no respect for this country's people, it's traditions, culture or freedom, and that his main goal is to impose his will, and remake America into a socialist, weak and submissive nation.

What is the best 12 ga. anti-personnel out to 100 feet? 00 buckshot was recommended in close proximity to nearby houses. I don’t have any houses closer than 200 feet.

(Someone actually went into detail to answer this question.)

My wife said she was worried about Obama being President and taking over gestapo style.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, how the FUCK do these people manage to sleep at night, with such paranoia churning in what passes for their brains?

If anyone asks why people here post this stuff, my answer is twofold.

1) Because it's freaking hilarious, and if you don't want to read it, don't click on a link with "Freeps" in the title. ;)

2) Because I must! I have to post it NOW before we become a SOCIALIST STATE! This is HUGH!!!111!!! I'm SERIES!!1!! (Is a sarcasm smiley really needed here?) :)

And here everyone who knows him thought he was just a loser w/ no job, no dates, no RL friends and no cognitive processes - but all this time he was preparing for ARMAGEDDON!! :tinfoilhat:

Have these cretins even noticed that it was their president who took away civil rights, spied on Americans - including our troops! - who got himself the right to lock up anyone he wanted, and worst of all suspended the writ of habeas corpus!!!

"Morans - your bus is leaving!"

The poor thing. Her daughter is studying an academic subject (in "collage" - maybe it's an art school) that will be important in the future. Where, where did she go wrong?

Believing that you have to hide in a hole in the ground when Obama becomes president is surely a sign of advanced mental illness. Can someone check the DSM?

10. really - what is it with these guys?
And they are mostly guys... but wtf?

I had a "debate" with one of them - they simply cannot connect the last 8 years with a decrease in freedom. Patriot Act, republican control of the media, corporate rule. The simply dont see it. BUT they see a "socialist" as the biggest threat to.... what? What do they have their panties in a bunch for?

They seem to WANT to be somebody's bitch. That is the only thing I can think of. That they like the authoritarian rule. Spreading the wealth / power around is "socialism" and not to be trusted.

17. This is the ultimate contrast between them and us
We actually did have something to fear from Bush. After all it was Bush that gave us the Patriot Act, the Iraq War, didn't do shit about global warming, and financial collapse. But instead of stockpiling guns and pretending that civil war was upon us, we went out and protested, committed civil disobedience, volunteered, campaigned, and did everything that good and brave citizens are supposed to do. These yokels can't do anything but cling to their damn guns.

For all you gun fanatics out there, this is why many people laugh at you. There's nothing wrong with owning a few guns, but this obsession with them as your ticket to freedom is beyond ludicrous. We have managed to render helpless the worst and most tyrannical regime regime in U.S. history without even firing a shot by simply doing the things I mentioned above. There are better ways to affect social change. Bringing a gun to the fight is a sign of failure and impotence, not freedom and strength.

Only a few courageous people voted against it. Congress, even under the Democrats, has not stood up to Bush. They are equally to blame for this. We could have impeached him a year ago, if the Democrats in Congress had any spine.

and are not equally to blame. They didn't have control then, and sadly, they don't really have control now. Let's hope that changes soon.

Edited to add" I get your point that the majority of them voted for it-- I'm just saying, they aren't equally to blame as they couldn't have stopped it.

25. I recall the militia movement nuttiness from the 90s.
Bill Clinton was supposed to have created armies of U.N.-trained inner city gang units that were going to round up gun owners and put them in internment camps, etc. I suspect an Obama candidacy is going to create an unprecedented level of paranoia and conspiratorial claims that will put that insanity to shame if recent rumors from the right wing and their PUMA siblings are any indication. Quite frankly, I'm scared by the level of hateful fear I'm seeing from the anti-Obama camp. I knew it would be bad, but seeing it in real life, not just the internet, it's startling.

40. Do you remember the Michigan Militia nuttiness?
They were the best at being scary and being comic relief at the same time.

I don't know if this still goes on because I knew about it since my brother was in the National Guard at the time and is not in it now, but the military would bring in Soviet equipment to Camp Grayling to test it out in war games against U.S. equipment. The militia nuts thought this was part of a Soviet invasion and laying the groundwork for a communist takeover of the country in some masturbatory Red Dawn fantasy. FBI rounded up a bunch of militia types who planned an assault of some type of the camp. They were idiots and rightly ridiculed.

Sorry for getting off topic but your post just reminded me of those nutjobs.

41. Their conspiracies were featured on Nashville CATV when I was a kid.
There was a paranormal topics program and one of the hosts was a huge gun nut who must have been involved in some way with the militia movement. I remember him holding up documents that were supposed to prove things like an imminent U.N. invasion of the U.S. He'd rant and rave on popular militia topics like posse comitatus, mostly typical "They're comin' to take our guns!" crap. If it weren't for incidents like the OKC bombing, all of it would have been nothing but comical.
