Word on the street is it may be very obvious before the polls on the west coast close, which way this election will go.

I recall the networks last time made an agreement to withhold calling anything until the last of the polls closed in the western states. Do the same rules apply this go around?

1. I think they have agreed that any network can call it at any time - as long as it's not for Obama

2. They should wait until the polls close on the West Coast.
There are a lot of people out here who still haven't voted when the polls close back East.

Its been understood by news agencies (remember to keep FOX out of that category) that they would not allow influence of poll numbers to seep out westward. I assume it is the same this time around, seeing as how much more important this election was than those of the past

4. You can't call an election that will be stolen in the ballot box
I thought we all learned that four years ago when at 7:00 PM ET, Ted Kennedy was telling Wolf Blitzer what President Kerry was going to do his first month in office.
