...This just proves to me that the speculation bubble on crude oil prices was fueled by cheap unlimited credit to speculators.

With credit being tightened marginal speculators have been pushed aside, crude prices have plunged and retail price declines at the pumps have followed.

As OPEC drops production those prices will rise after the election and the first international challenge for the new president will be stable oil supplies.
