The latest false outrage from the right concerns something Joe Biden said recently. Joe Biden said “We're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.” Somehow, this is supposed to be a good thing for McCain. How about we continue with this thought exercise and image how Obama or McCain would do.
Obama, in contrast to McCain, would keep his cool and react quickly but without the added onus of a temper to cloud his judgment. Given what we know of the men we can put them into the situation that Bush went through. Keeping with his well-deserved title of Worst President Ever, Bush did nothing but panic. Of course, once he did regain his footing he managed to let the people who attacked us go, and then he attacked the wrong country. Aces all the way. As for McCain, we know that he has an anger problem so what he would do is harder to predict. But, his anger coupled with a less than stellar intellect doesn’t bode well for the country. He may have overreacted on bad information and caused an international incident. Or, he may have ordered aircraft shot down before fully vetting whether they are being skyjacked or not. I’ll give him the credit to say he won’t freeze. But, to be sure, he wouldn't have been there to steady the country.
Well, after a two-year campaign I think everyone can safely say Obama is unflappable. If we were to have another 9/11 type attack, Obama would not freeze for seven minutes, then fly around the country the rest of the day in a panic. Turning over the reigns of power to whoever happened to grab them. You know, like your guy did. Back to the original attack, Obama would have put the government to work to stop any future attacks after the first crash, and then would have gotten on the television and tried to quiet the nation when we needed it most. That wouldn’t happen with your guy. So, good luck with this line of attack
