A Little Insight about FL early voting polls

In most of the early voting polls we see "NP" or "no party" with a significant percentage. There very well may be a reason for this.

I'm not saying that the "no party" percentage favors Democrats, but I think it's a direct result of the incredible early voting we did here in the Sunshine State.

When registering new voters, we were told to have the applicant fill out lines 1-8. Those lines were important because they contained the applicants DL/SS#, name and home/postal addresses. Party affiliation in the application is on line 12(I think. I do know that it's not on lines 1-8).

Because most of the new voters were not all encouraged to fill out party affiliation, MANY of them left that line blank. I registered about 20-30 college students who were definite Obama supporters who didn't fill that line out. The state of Florida automatically lists them as NP when their information is entered into the system.
