1. What do you think?
How could it do anything but help. The man is compelling. I find it hard to believe anyone that actually listens to him can not be swayed..

8. makes me think of fireside chats
I think it will help solidify his presidential image. In some ways he is claiming the presidency already. The only downside I see is that peple may view him as already the president or the heir apparent that they may not vote thinking it's in the bag.

2. Can't hurt.
Not expecting any help, but it should slow the standard tightening of the polls as the election nears.

3. This election has a life of its own now. But, that time may help him
control the news cycle.

4. I think neither, but...
As others have stated, I think that the aim of the slots is to give Obama some uninterrupted time with the American viewers to finalize his message and to remind people to vote despite the hardships and despite the news about a possible landslide. It will also make sure to reiterate the differences between Obama and McCain while pointing out the similarities between McCain and Bush. If there are still undecideds out there then they are either just looking for something to justify voting against a black man (which McCain can't offer) or are stupid like the Daily Show suggested.

5. I really believe that this is going to help Obama. He will have 30 mins of direct
contact with viewers without spin, without retort, and without analysis. Sure, some people will change the channel, but most will watch and ask themselves 30 minutes later, 'was that really a half-hour long?' Watching Obama speak about specific issues families across the country are dealing with is going to bring home and personalize the reality of the situation our nation is facing. It is going to prove that if you don't believe Obama's health plan, tax plan, economic plan, or energy plan will benefit you, that you are mistaken and have been mislead.

I'm guessing a lot of it will be videos or interviews with families across America explaining their situations, why they are where they are, and why voting for Obama will truly benefit their lives and lives of people in similar situations. I imagine Obama will make an opening and closing remark and perhaps specific comments throughout, but I believe the focus will be on families and individuals, and how Obama will greatly outweigh McLiar in what he is offering to bring to the country.

12. I think this address is aimed at Republicans and Conservatives
We are the faithful and are going to vote for him period...It is his way of justifying for Republicans to cast their vote for America. Remember it isn't about Obama, it is about America, it is about us. A United America once more...I think even most Republicans are tired of the division and the hatred spewed daily.. This election is about the American people and that is what will be stressed.. IMO
