1. I would say the latter....
I think the MSM working hard to try to convince us that the election is closer than it really is.

2. I think there's a lot of people feeling like we did in 2000.
Only we had a legit reason to. But republicans seem to thrive on fear for the sake of fear, unlike us, who really had something to fear. And history will bear us out on that. But now they all get a taste of it and they're not dealing too well.

3. the number of republicans who have endorsed Obama is unprecedented
his poll numbers are far, far beyond Mctheusela and Caribou Barbie's

the numbers of people engaged in early voting, and voting by ballot when possible is unprecedented.

I would find it nearly impossible to believe that McCain would honestly win this. I will assume, in fact, that if he is declared the winner, it is due to voter fraud and I will not simply say okay.

5. me neither, babycakes.
I've got a small, portable charcoal grill, sleeping bags, and old tent and plenty of anger, if need be. :/

hopefully this race will be such a blow out it would be impossible to steal.

but I'm also ready to take to the streets if I have to. I do feel better about this race than I did in 2000 and 2004

9. Get Mad, Get Angry, Get Even, Get Out The Vote...
Imagine being a repugnican right now. You've got a lame candidate whose been behind in the polls for months, a party disintegrating from its own arrogance and greed, a regime that is a total failure with a legislative team with a record to match and you have 6 days until an election. For many who live in the State Of Denial, the fall's gonna be a hard one...for the realisists, there's gotta be a very empty feeling inside....and it's not just the sphincter that is tightening.

The GOOP's seeing a large wave coming at them and many are running for their political lives...they not only see a large Democratic turn-out, but a very pissed-off base that may opt to stay home next week rather than be part of a losing election...taking a lot of downticket repugnicans with them. They need to keep "hope alive"...and saying the election is close, whipping up the fear and blowing into their dog whistles are one of the few tactics they have left.
