I have been working the phones for a coupla weeks now, and have been trying to make it a sociological experiment. I have heard from dems and independents. They will use code words or demands for their obvious racism. I have heard a guy say that Obama didnt release his med records. He did. Didnt matter. I have heard the alien other in many instances. Socialist, marxist yadda yadda. Never have I heard I wont vote for a black man. The infommercial is dedicated to these individuals. They need constant soothing, and this will reinforce the obvious message, Obama is a lover of the principles of America. He wants even more reasons to be proud of our accomplishments. Never satisfied.

I watched the debates with the neighbor lady, and even though she is proudly voting Obama, she made some, to me very disturbing statements. She said, look at him, he is too smooth. He seems sneaky. Look how he is untouched by McCain's insults. He is detached and aloof. He seems dangerous. I let her flesh it out. Even on the firmly decided, the in group, outgroup, eschatology, anything but status quo capitalism is evil message is POWERFUL. Not to us philosophers, but to mere mortals.

His smiling, patriotic mug, unmolested by haters and their rally crowds also, will reassure those racist, but not discriminatory. We need to tap into those sources of empathy and compassion, so demanded by our deserving real americans.

The hate crescendo may drive even moderate haters for the safety of an Obama administration, and equality, even for them. First they came for liberals, they ended with just republicans, leaving only the elite!
