12. I bring this up at every opportunity when I am talking to Christian

Republicans. I have never understood the disconnect between what Christianity stands for ( peace, sharing, helping, supporting, etc, etc) and then the praxis by the Republican Party. They cannot really ask themselves WWJD and then honestly come up with the Republican agenda as the answer. I agree with the OP - Jesus was onne of the most significant 'socialists' in history and those Republicans that deny this are either lying to themselves or are terribly delusional.
