Just got back from phone banking for Obama
Hi folks: just got back from doing a phone bank shift at the Obama Headquarters. My job today was to talk to undecideds...while many were not home, the ones I did talk to went about 5-2 for Obama. That's real good news because the area of Tacoma-Pierce County that I was calling is not known for being overly liberal. I was heartened by the response out there..so for all those who come across a negative person every once in a while...there's many more pro-Obama people out there. On to November 4th-Peace Mike C

1. Great news! I just got back too.
I took the afternoon off to call volunteers to canvass this weekend. I will be out both days this weekend in NH. I prefer the canvassing to the calling. I like to talk to the undecideds. What works best for you?

3. Hi Allie
I love to canvass and go door to door. In 1989 I ran a progressive city initiative in Tacoma and personally knocked on over 5000 doors during that campaign. Ran for US Congress from the left the next year against my DINO congress critter. Knocked on about 7000 doors that time. I don't mind calling though either. My favorite is protesting when some one like Bush or Cheney or McLame or Palin come to town though.

2. You rock!
I'm finding most households I canvassed to be for Obama. Knocked on 30 doors, talked to 8 people--7 for Obama, 1 undecided til we hit her with the SS issue causing her eyes to spin.

4. I did canvassing today. What bothers me is people who are
1) Obviously at home (garage door open, cars in the driveway)and don't answer the door.
2) People, whom at THIS LATE DATE, are still using the "undecided" line. PU-LEEEEEZE!!

8. Undecided = prejudice
Waiting to see if they can bring themselves to vote for a black man because they know he is the best man for the job, or if they will stay with their decision that they would rather vote for a crazy white man for president rather than for an intelligent black man.

6. We've got Michigan for sure.
Went canvassing today in SE Mich and there were Obama signs everywhere. We will deliver Mich to Obama, no problem.
