The men of Sodom demand that Lot send out the visiting angels so they can have sex with them (Genesis 19:3-5).

But what's often overlooked is that Lot goes out and offers up his virgin daughters to the men instead (Genesis 19:6-8):

Then there's the whole incident with a drunken Lot having sex with his daughters and getting them pregnant:

What's also overlooked is how Abraham in Genesis 18 pleads with God to spare Sodom.

So they really haven't a clue about what took place. For one thing everything destroyed in the riots were in the black community, very few whites were injured, mostly those that were was police. But they saw the riot after the Rodney King beating, so they believe in their little racist minds that on Nov 5th blacks will be out in full force driving the whites out of their homes and businesses, kind of like what the USSR did to the people of Russia when the communists took the country over.

Remember these idiots have been feed propaganda of the right wing neo cons for the last 30 years and really believe that if republicons lose power then the democrats will be taking their homes and give them to homeless minorities. They really believe that the democratic party is no different then the communists that took over Russia at the turn of the 20th century and the only thing that stopped Clinton from doing it were the brave republicons in the house and senate.

I know the democratic party has no intentions of doing anything as drastic as the communists did, but these nit wits suffer from hallucinations, remember war on religion, war on xmas, war on easter, the war on family values, pro-choice, seperation of church and state.

To the mentally lame out there this is all proof that the end days are coming, remember they also believe in the rapture, but it also scares the shit out of them as they know deep down they might not be one of the chosen so they could end up in the crap with the sinners. A black president to them is the 7th sign of the gates of hell being thrown open and the second coming, the war to end all wars leading to the destruction of all life.

Remember they don't buy into FDR's "the only fear is fear itself" speech. 8. i may be over analyzing here...but this is what I think...

When a person is in 12-step and then you "give up" your addiction, it leaves a big hole.
Now what do I do? One has spent so much time either in an addiction or in my case I was living with people with addictions....
When you QUIT, what do you do with your time?

Well, I think there is a good analogy here with the people to the right...
when Obama is in office, and the sky doesn't fall AND they may even see some improvement in their own situations and the war ends, etc....
It will leave a big hole where their fear/misplaced anger was.

What will they do when their party has lost AND their middle class situations improve?

they will either 1) implode and self destruct or 2) see the light, and get on board.

I see this in 12 step all the time.
Some people stay and get better becuase they are willing to deal with reality
and some people stay for a while, can't handle the truth and "go back out", because they don't want to deal with the consequences of their actions

This is what I think will happen.

you've put it so much better than I could. Of course, they can continue to rage. They can find something to rage about, I think. After all, their people have been in for eight years now, pretty much doing whatever they want, and these freaks have been angry this whole time. I remember the 2004 Repub convention -- Jon Stewart even remarked on how angry all these people were -- these people who had the power! What were they so angry about? They were in control, making all the decisions!

So, it's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.
