palin's seriously scary religious beliefs: New Apostolic Reformation
Sarah Palin endorser Bishop Thomas Muthee, in a speech he gave before blessing and anointing Sarah Palin as a political leader, on October 16, 2005 at the Wasilla Assembly of God, laid out the current agenda of the New Apostolic Reformation - how "God's kingdom" needed to "infiltrate" seven sectors of society. Muthee listed most of them: business and finance, schools and education, media and entertainment, politics and government.

Muthee also stated "The Bible says the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. Sarah Palin was in the audience. Minutes later, she was anointed, and blessed, with the laying on of hands.

Thomas Muthee is an internationally known celebrity in the New Apostolic Reformation and a personal friend of the movement's head, C. Peter Wagner. In June 2006 Wagner proclaimed that "God has declared through His prophets that the wealth of the wicked will be released to the Kingdom of God," and declared, threateningly, "the enemies' camp will be plundered."

The New Apostolic Reformation is not a small movement: an apostle of C. Peter Wagner, one of the 500 apostles in Wagner's International Coalition of Apostles, owns what will be one of the tallest buildings in the world, the Jakarta Tower. One of the NAR's branches is successfully supplanting the Catholic Church in Brazil. The movement holds international conferences on advancing Christian hegemony in the business sector.

Sarah Palin and the new Apostolic reformation
by Russ Bellant
October 28, 2008

Sarah Palin has been associated all her adult life with churches and political groups that are way out of the theological and political mainstream. Her extreme policy views as Governor reflect this background and raise questions about what kind of vice president John McCain seeks to have voters endorse.

It has been widely reported that McCain barely knew Palin and his team never fully evaluated her to determine her fitness to be vice president.

A recent report in The Anchorage Daily News stated that evangelist Franklin Graham made the Palin connection to McCain, not Republican professionals. Graham, the once-estranged son of Billy Graham, has strong ties to the various strands of the religious rightwing. He met with McCain on June 30 at his headquarters in Boone, North Carolina, after which Graham issued a statement praising McCain’s "personal faith" and prayed for "God’s will to be done in this upcoming election."

The Daily News concluded that "subsequent events suggest that the price of support for McCain by the fundamentalist Christian leadership would be a vice presidential candidate of their liking. Governor Palin was a logical choice for Franklin Graham, whose ties to Alaska include a palatial, by Alaska bush standards, second home in Port Alsworth, a community that has served as a retreat for Christian fundamentalist leaders."

1. just another violence prone ass using the bible
as a weapon. After all to "infiltrate" anything you need to break at least 2 Commandments. Somehow I do not think this was cleared with jesus...

3. More like using their perverted interpretation of the bible. From
one of the articles I read they have almost 300,000,000 members. They must have excellent brain washing techniques.

2. More light needs to be shed on these people
dogemperor and Troutfishing have new diaries up exploring some further angles of Sarah palin's association with Joels' Army.

As we've reported earlier in posts on Talk to Action, several of the persons Sarah Palin is known to be associated with--including Thomas Muthee--promote a "Seven Mountains Strategy" that is essentially a Joel's Army "five-year plan" to take over all institutions of human culture and civilisation--including the financial, governmental, educational, and even entertainment sectors.

Quite ironically (for being a group that claims to be "God Warriors" so much), the ultimate intent of the "Seven Mountains Strategy" is to eventually set things up where one would effectively have to take the Joel's Army "Mark of the Beast" to survive--literally no services, not even at somewhere as mundane as the grocery store, would be available to those not converting. Apostates and the "unchurched"--a category that explicitly includes Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, members of non-neopentecostal Protestant churches, and even people involved in Freemasonry--would have the choice, literally, to convert or die.

...The explicit steeplejacking of emergency services. (This has been a subject of discussion before in this journal, particularly in regards to the Gothard frontgroup Police Dynamics Institute, but the trend is accelerating and has been around since at least 2005--based on documented activity with front groups of dominionist orgs and Hurricane Katrina relief.) Disturbingly, and again in parallel with trends noted as early as 2005, there is explicit discussion of partnership of front-orgs with the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA. This is also including steeplejack of police departments (such as through Gothard's PDI front) and the promotion of "prayer walks" and marathon fasts (water-only for 21 or 40-day periods, initially popularised in Latter Rain circles back in the 40s and still considered a hallmark of groups descendant from Latter Rain) as a form of community policing.

Also a chilling look at the Joel's Army-supported terror in Central America and Fiji.

More details on the video program which is being used to propagandize their message and several video clips of the leaders of their group speaking about these things to audiences.

Glad this is getting some examination. Sarah is a dangerous looney, as are her friends and supporters within this movement.

7. You're welcome.

Religious intolerance, especially when codified in political hierarchy is a bugbear of mine. I have too many friends and family who could be hurt if an Wallacian atmosphere of tacit approval of intolerance is established. The last few years of 'faith-based initiative' and 'charity' in lieu of secular social services has allowed these cults to get their feet in the door. The management of the Alaska suicide hotline by adherents of this group is no morally different than the scientologists or moonies preying on vulnerable people after disaster in order to fill their ranks. The only difference is it is promoted from the highest office in the state.

I am gratified to see some stirrings of the subject out in the greater world. I think sunlight is the best disinfectant for these people, if they lose their secrecy they are damaged. Why else would they have to 'infiltrate' us in order to spread their ideas.

8. So true in every way. My biggest dream is for all churches, temples,
etc, to lose their tax exempt status.

6. Ah, like normal is how things have been for the last eight years.
Time for the unscrewing of America to begin.
