1. Oh, I *really* hope we get 60.
If we do, we can start working on expelling Rethuglican Senators and begin impeaching Bush, Cheney, Roberts, Thomas, Scalia and Alito.

5. It looks like 58 to me.
CNN has called 56 dem so far, Georgia will go R, Oregon D, and hopefully Minnesota will go D to. We are only up a few hundred there.

6. Sadly, nope, no magic 60.
I think GA's going to go safe R without a runoff.

OR is likely, AK is likely, MN is going to be a nailbiter. 59 it will be (57 actual D's + 1 D in spirit and 1 ex-D-who-like-to-think-hes-a-d)

7. Short answer: Nope
Republicans Chambliss (GA) and McConnell (KY) look like they will win. Minnesota is very close (Franken vs. Coleman). Exit polling by CNN gives Franken an edge, but not by much.

So, I think that adds up to 57, possibly 58 Senate seats, one held by Lieberman.

8. Oh well...
... the dream of kicking the criminals out of power will have to wait for another day. For now, let's just celebrate the fantastic news!
