exit polls are always interesting to look at.

in the CNN exit poll over 60 percent of people who thought Govt did too much voted for govt to ban same sex marraige.

how does this make any sense ?

(there is a lot more interesting stuff about the exit polls such as those who supported financial bailout were more likely to oppose the ban while the opposite was true of those who opposed the bailout)

1. I really don't understand the issue.

We had an amendment here in Florida and I thought to myself, "Well, we certainly don't need a LAW for that." I figured as a Catholic I want that decision to be made by my clergy and not forced on them by the state, see? I don't have a problem with same sex unions but they should be performed done by officiators of the event who condone the union. That just sort of makes sense.

2. The supporters of 8 wrapped their message around a lot of lies,
among them that gay marriage will be taught in public school and that churches could lose their tax exempt status. There were others, but those two stood out to me.

3. Because the nit wits out there think inside the box and can never see how such
laws are growing the government and giving the government more power over their lives. It's like the nit wits who voted for no fault insurance laws, they bought into the ideal that no fault would save them money by having more people buying insurance. Now that the law is in place their insurance rates have went up to where their insurance is now costing them thousands of dollars where as before no fault it was a few hundred. It also gave the government more money because now police could write tickets and judges set mandatory fines, all in the name of protecting the many from the few.

Just like the nit wits in michigan passed anti gay laws 2 years ago thinking this law was only for gay people. Then they found out the freaking law was written so all the benefits they wanted for there live in mates in case of emergencies were gone. They would have to marry to get the benefits that they took for granted. Laws that force americans to do something they don't want to do.

Yep smaller government my ass.

4. It's typical conservative thinking
They're all for states' rights as long as states aren't doing things with which they disagree.
