President Bush rewards his incompetent friend by nominating him for Attorney General. Gonzales worked with then Texas governor Bush, proving often poor quality, incomplete legal memos that Bush used in deciding if an inmate should be executed. I agree that it was a nice surprise that Aschcroft is cut from different cloth than Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld. One can disagree with his views, which is fine, but it appears we are united in our respect for the basic principles of the country, something so lacking in most of the Bushies. Little surprise they showed him the door.
