GA Help please! Can a person in GA vote if they didn't vote
in November? I just convinced my s-i-l to vote against Chambliss but she's not sure if she'd be allowed. I don't see why not, but can anyone confirm this?
How would anyone know if she voted or not? Her voters reg. card is up-to-date, and today is the last day for early voting.
Thanks for any replies.

3. Not so sure about that...
We probably need an expert opinion.

9. Why wouldn't they be allowed to vote
This is a regular election. Any person that is registered to vote should be allowed to vote. I would think it would be illegal to deny them. If they were denied the right to vote then by the same logic the people that did vote should be denied the right "not" to vote..It makes no sense. Registered voters can vote in general elections even if they are runoff elections..

4. No, she didn't. Don't ask. But how would they know? And
why is a person no longer registered? It's still a right citizens should be able to enjoy.

5. I edited my comments while you were responding -- sorry for that.
They'd know because they record who voted and who did not. (That's my experience in 5 other states)

However, here's a link for her to go to:

http://www.sos.georgia.gov/elections/polllocator/PollLocator.aspx

She enters the info, and she be told instantly if she's active or not.

I put in the data for Jimmy Carter, and he's good to go.

7. Are you SURE? Here's what the Pubs are sending their voters:
http://www.redcounty.com/fulton/2008/11/an-open-letter-to-georgia-cons-1/

Whatever your brand of conservatism - social, fiscal, libertarian - I urge you to go to the polls and vote for Saxby. If you voted for Saxby November 4, go back and do it again. If you didn't vote at all in the November 4 general election, you can still vote in the runoff.

I suggest you call the SOS's office and double check.
