Pale Horse, Pale Rider.

Just as revelations gave the fourth seal unleashing a pale horse carrying death and followed by satan, Katherine Ann Porter added the pale rider in a story of a woman suffering from influenza, recovering and finding her caretaker, her love, dead from the same disease he contracted while caring for her.

I find america in a very similar position today.

We have been on a pale horse for nearly eight years now and much of our caretaker or good will has died upon that ride.

And now is a time for us to rise from our deathbeds and start anew.

The world has changed significantly since the covers were pulled around our cheeks and the fever began to rage. It went on as our illness progressed. But the fever has finally broken.

It didn't kill us.

But it came pretty damned close.

It's time for us to shed our linens. It's time for us to leave the bedroom. It's time for us to go beck into the world and say that we are glad to be alive. We are glad to be your neighbor. We want to thank you for putting up with our illness. That we want to repay you for your kindness.

There was a pale horse.

We were the pale rider.

And the illness is over.

And we want to rejoin the world.


To our neighbors on this small planet, please take us back and we're sorry for the damage we have done during the reign of the pale horse. Forgive us, please. We are no better or worse than the best or worst of any of you.

We are America.

The next day the U.S. shows up for dinner and the World had set up this hotel room and it was just like "Intervention" on A&E.

U.S. just has this shocked coked out look to him. He just realizes he has been set up.

World: "We need to talk.

World: Sit down

World: Here it is. You need some help... Do you realize your economy is based on just buy stuff? Every time we try to warn you of your out of control behavior all you do is bring up that Fucking War! The world has changed U.S.! Get your shit together! You need treatment and China has set up a payment plan for your debt.
