Obama has a very difficult job ahead of him.
There may be times when we don't understand something he has done. He may have to deviate from what he said during the campaign due to information he is receiving now. World events, like Mumbai, may require him to do things we believed in November he would never do. I'm torn with regard to the administrative choices he has made. On the one hand it looks like the same old Washington crowd. On the other, I agree that he needs to hit the ground running with experienced people who know what to do on day one, who to hire, who to consult, who to trust. Obama faces alot of difficult challenges and most of the nastiest humans on the planet as challengers. There will be those trying to undermine him.

All I can do is hope that those career insiders will honor the Office of President of the United States of America and accept and carry out Obama's policies and that it is in the POLICIES that we can find the "change" that so many are now decrying as somehow, or to some degree, void.

All I can do is hope he will do a good job, that he will want to leave a memorable legacy both as a great president and as a representative of his cultural heritage, and that he will always keep our best interests at heart - as he promised me he would in Reunion Arena in Dallas about a year ago.

That's all any of us can really do. I voted for him - twice. He wasn't my first choice way back when but I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt and the chance to prove himself and I'll support and respect him.

I am full of hope. Godspeed, President Obama.
