Did AIG and Lehman Brothers Grilling Before Congress Go Well?
Oh, that's right.

They were given the money with no questions asked.

And when are they going to pay back the federal government?

Oh, that's right.

It wasn't a loan, like the automakers are asking for.

It was a handout.

I forgot.

Never mind.

5. It gets repeated later, or if you are in the West, you can still catch it.

11. uh, lehman got 100% f$cked over. they got absolute f*ckall.
they're probably the ONLY failure in this fiasco that got no federal bucks.

and that was probably the single biggest f*ckup of this entire mess, it sent aig over the edge and the cds market reeling and completely destroyed what little was left of inter-institutional trust.

they blamed lehman ceo dick fuld's outsized ego for preventing him from selling the company when they had a chance after bear stearns collapsed, when in fact it was the fed's ego that prevented them from doing what was needed to keep the financial sector functioning.

but i digress. main point, lehman got nothing.
