Lean times spur interest in payment for sperm, eggs, plasma -- even hair

Before this fall, it might not have occurred to Michael Aylesworth to swap
his sperm for money.

But faced with rising bills, a dwindling budget and fractured economy, the
30-year-old Seattle man took stock of some very personal assets - and
decided to sell.

"I did it because I'm a student and I'm always broke," said Aylesworth, who
spent several delicate minutes in a small room at the Seattle Sperm Bank
last month.

Apparently he's not alone. Seeking quick cash in a tanking financial market,
would-be sellers of a variety of body products - sperm, eggs, blood plasma,
even human hair - are filling waiting rooms and swamping agencies with
inquiries.

How nice. An industry owing its prosperity to the policies of George W. Bush ..

3. "We" have already been robbed of over a trillion by the thieves on Wall Street, in the banks,
and in government.

Talk about the "big con" (a Paul Newman tribute).

10. And my point was that the corporate media will hype the crimes committed by those actually
needing money to survive and ignore the more massive crime against this nation.

Interesting how the US is never tough on that kind of crime.

We have had five home invasions in the last couple of weeks in our area.
This guy is targeting senior citizens at night. He cuts the phone line and bashes in the front door demanding cash. Yep it is already here.

12. I think that will happen.
The community has been having meetings with the neighborhoods. Unfortunately the guy who does the shooting will have some legal problems of his own if that happens.

11. I say Why Not. Go for it.
People sell their blood. Sperm, eggs, hair are all assets that people want.

Although having undergone fertility treatments, I would not want to undergo the hormonal upheaval and the harvesting procedure again. Still, if the money was right and I was otherwise broke, it would be good to have as an option.
