RE: Harry Reid. I told you so.
When Harry Reid said that he would not seat Roland Burris, I immediately posted that we could bank on Burris being seated because the exact opposite of everything Harry Reid threatens is what really happens.

Headline just now at Rawstory--link not yet operational: AP: Senate Dems to accept Obama replacement: Soon...

When Harry Reid said that he would try to seat Al Franken without the legal process first running its course, I immediately posted that the statement meant that Reid would not try to seat Al Franken. And, he hasn't.

Judges, FISA, whatever the issue upon which Harry Reid talks toughly, you can bet that the exact opposite of what he says will actually happen.

Whether or not you agree with Burris being seated or Franken not yet being seated, these two are but two more examples of the fact that Reid is spineless. He needs to go.

2. You got it. Harry Reid talks like he's going to stand firm,
and then doesn't do it---on anything.

22. Yes, all of America's national Hologram is basically ONE BIG LIE.
Never thought I'd see the day...

But we are faced with the problem of any subjects of totalitrianism, be it the brutal Classic Totalitarianism or the newfangled, kinder and gentler, Inverted Totalitarianism.

26. Not my phrase, though. All credit goes to the excellent writer, Joe Bageant.

:hi: eowyn.

Nancy Pelosi says "liberal weaklings" like Aragorn and Gandalf make her sick, she wishes she could have them swept up for tresspassing instead of being protected by the First Amendment.

Nancy likes to bend before Bushie-Sauron Power, and so she told me that she is off to ride with the Haradrim for awhile to surround herself with honest Christians, like Saruman and Real Men, like the Bushie Orcs, before coming back to nauseating Liberal weaklings she despises even as she pretends to ride with them....but she PROMISES she won't reveal our troop strength nor the disposition of our forces, because she is so noble. How do we know she is noble?

She told us so, just like the other Bushies.

:sarcasm:

But where are our heroes - Gandalf (Ted Kennedy?, recently smitten by the Balrog)and Aragorn? (Obama isn't Aragorn, I am afraid - I think he's Frodo)

ps (I wanted to add this to the previous post - :hi: - but couldn't - New computer installed yesterday & forgot to disable darn filter keys! )

21. No more than a half dozen. When the Bushies murdered Wellstone, they made a HUGE dent,
but only because the number of non-Bushie-coopted Democrats in Congress is so very VERY SMALL.

No more than a half-dozen, I would guess.

27. LOL, when Obama starts pushing legislation, Nancy and Harry will be fully exposed as to who they
work for.

Best case scenario: They work for the top 0.01% of Wealthy Democrats, and none other.

Middle case scenrio: They work for the top 0.01% of Wealthy People, and none other.

Worst-case Scenario: They work for the Bushies, and none other.

The possibility that they work for the American People, is simply a <0.00000000000001% chance so close to being impossible based on the available evidence it is not worth entertaining as a legitimate scenario.

9. How we get Harry to go is a tough question
Yes, he proves to be a greater wimp every day --- but I also hear the next vote for Majority Leader will not be for another couple of years.

Too bad he can't be openly challenged, but it seems there is protocol for choosing the leaders (in both houses).

17. someone here just denied Reid's role in saving Social Security
pathetically spun that important victory as unimportant. I guess bashing Reid is more important than actual things that affect people.

What about the people saying he made a deal with the GOP to keep Coleman's office open? Any word from them when the office was closed?

I'm not sure how much credit Reid himself deserves... pretty much any Democrat would have pulled out all the stops on that.

19. LOL. It's obvious when you think about it - Harry IS a Bushie, pretty much
Edited on Wed Jan-07-09 03:16 PM by tom_paine
albeit he has to pretend and play to his "brand name" before the inevitable Bushie-positive decision.

But I just never put 2 and 2 together, even though it's so obviouly what harry IS, bceause I was blinded by the fact that he was on "Our Team".

But the American People don't HAVE a team among the Ruling Class. If we do, it's very small...no more than 10% of the Democratic Congress and lovable but patriotically wacky Ron Paul.

Yes, yes. "THE BUSHIE RULES of Verbal Interpretation of Bullshit" apply 1000% to Harry.

How could I have not seen it before?

Thanks, rateyes.

31. The DSCC just called me for money
I told the nice lady that as long as Harry is the Senate leader, they won't see another dime from me. Her response was "you wouldn't believe how many times a day I hear that from the people I call." I then asked if her bosses are aware of our dissatisfaction with Harry and she said yes. I said people want change and Harry Reid isn't it. (I also mentioned Harry saying yesterday he doesn't answer to Obama.)

Perhaps when their coffers dry up, they'll do something about Harry.
