16. At home watching it on TV & babysitting my 2 yr old granddaughter, she was puking..
just a flu going around here in N Texas.
I tivo'd the days events since I did miss a few moments.

Ya know, I thought of where Pres Obamas' focus is as to strengthening our nation, and I thought of what Bush did for EIGHT years to make this Nation and the lives of its people better, and I could think of absolutely NOTHING. Worthless man.

President Obama has the world hanging on to hope.
Bless this man and Dr Howard Dean for seeing a way around the Neocon election thieves.

21. In the makeshift exercise room at work
after having rigged a crude antenna from an old piece of coax and a short copper wire pinched from a piece of Cat-5 for the digital-tuner TV set normally used for exercise vids. A couple co-workers snuck back there too...I was taking a walk on the treadmill to try to work on my belly. :D

What a relief. It's a good feeling.

31. At work, with about 10 people huddled around a radio, listening to NPR.
The TV we brought in today did not work and the Internet streams were far too sketchy. So we rolled old school, and listened to the radio.

And it was quite a scene, all of us sitting there listening, eating some delivered pizza. I work in a very conservative industry, and I know a few of my co-workers are Republicans, but everyone seemed to enjoy the moment.

46. 2nd Floor Conference Room at Work
The bosses had the good sense to set up two big conference rooms and put it on big screens. We were allowed to watch from 11:45 to 1:00. (They also cut off streaming video at our PCs for 24 hours for fear too many people would be watching and grind us to a halt.)

49. Driving home, I guess.
I went to a watch party downtown, but we discovered at about 11:45 that there was something wrong with the big-screen TV feed. :( So, I drove home and walked in the door just in time to see President Obama (damn, that's fun to type! :D) begin his inaugural address. :) I'm kind of bummed that I missed the actual swearing-in, but so glad I got to see the speech. And going downtown wasn't a total loss - not only did I get to hang out for a while with fellow Democrats (a rarity in my area of the country), but I also got to try a blackberry soda, and the most delicious bagel I think I have ever eaten (whole wheat, with oats on top). :9
