7. Oh my GOSH! I didn't realize it was the crowd singing that!!
Wow. I thought it was the person at msnbc who does the music for scarb's show - my favorite part of his show, actually...

This makes it perfect.

Thanks for posting the link. I watched the chopper depart when it was live, not sure why I missed the singing and cheering... guess my volume was too low and the CC gremlin didn't pick up on it either...

Awesome.

11. That's because they kept raising the volume of the brass band
every time it came around to "good bye". Was this clip from Fox?

12. ABC censored all of that out.
They turned down sound from the audience when it happened. In fact they made it appear that people cheered Bush by showing him on TV when people were cheering for someone else.

13. It Was Very Audible on MSNBC...
I recorded it...and watched it back earlier...just for the pure joy of it. My wife said watching the copter fly away reminded her of the episode of M*A*S*H, where Henry Blake's copter goes off for the last time (I countered that we liked Henry). My son had a better take...he saw it like the part of Star Wars where the battle star is blown to bits and Vader is rocketing off into oblivion (which, of course we know he didn't).

That tune has particular import to me...the first time I heard it was at a High School basketball game back in 1970 (when the song was still on the charts), the it got its real big boost with the 1977 White Sox (Harry Caray leading the way)...and soon spread to other cities and sports.

Cheers...
