This phrase has been rattling around my cranium this morning . . .
. . . and it seems like it should be shared:

We were citizens in bush's america.

Obama is the President of our America.

2. So
What do you do now?

Just let Obama be out there on a limb by himself and you sitting there with a saw nibbling away at the limb?

Or are you gonna water the tree and keep it alive, so that it can continue supporting the dude?

3. For sure
Good question we all need to consider. I was thinking that after Obama was elected I could go back to things as they were, cancel my subscriptions to blogs, not participate here, and generally take it easy. But that isn't possible anymore. If anything, I will be more involved in helping to direct the course of history in whatever little or big way possible.

5. Good
That's the spirit that Obama wants you and everyone else to have. That is the spirit that made America what it is.

One small thing you can do is go to local government meetings and show you are there to water the tree of liberty.

4. We were suspects in Bush's America.
And cannon fodder and taxpayers and cheap labor and union rabblerousers and scapegoats.

The Cheney-Bushmen forgot we're also voters.

6. After the swearing in yesterday

I had to go to the dentist. As I was driving home, I turned on the news on the car radio and one of the first things the newscaster said was "President Obama . . . . " And I started to cry.

I have never uttered the words "President Bush," and I have avoided all situations where I might hear them. It just felt so good not to cringe when the announcer said the president's name.
