Wing Nut Email

Just got this today...

I spent most of yesterday shopping so I wouldn’t have to be around the TV. I am proud of a president that has kept us safe for so long. The new one has done nothing for me to be proud of. He bought votes from the poor by promising to send them checks thereby keeping them poor and dependant on the govt so Democrats can keep their jobs and power. The unions wanted him so we could become a socialist country. I don’t care if the world doesn’t like us; that only means their jealous of us. In the next 4 years we will be heading toward a godless, immoral, high taxed country. Everyone should have to run their own small business before they ask the govt and everyone else to give to them. We work so hard for our money and yet more regulations, forced employee benefits and taxes will probably drive us out of business. Then I guess we can get a handout from the govt and soon no one will even try to work hard and make it on their own.

9. That's a perefectly good expression. It's probably closer to 22-percenters but
it a good description for the politically uninformed via Faux News, Rush Limpballs, James Dobson etc. They are truely pathetic.

3. How sad. Another person who just doesn't get it and will be "left behind"....
...I keep using those words to describe bitter fundie pukes who won't adopt a reconciliatory tone and refuse to want to make this country a better place. Isn't it funny; those words have a very different meaning to them.

5. That about sums it up, doesn't it?
They're seeing the same things but interpreting them 180 degrees differently.

6. It kills me the way these people obsess over welfare.
After all the billions in corporate welfare over the last 2 years. And they're oblivious to the sacrifice of lives and resources spent in Iraq trying to get a foothold there for the big western oil companies. Yeah they don't get it and it's getting pretty old waiting for them to catch on.

8. Print it out
Take it or mail it to the person who sent it to you, and insist that they countersign it for you to keep for the next four years. Then, check in with them every month or so, and pick out one or two of their stupid points and ask them if one of their greatest fears has materialized yet. I'm guessing that within six months, this person won't be taking your calls or answering your e-mails anymore.

And there's an outside possibility that they might actually learn something and quit being such a fascist tool.

10. Oooooh, I like that.
Keep on reminding idiots like that over and over again of how wrong they were.

The other effective thing, if it's a mass emailing, is to Reply All.

11. Yes! Let's be a godless, immoral, high-taxed, socialist country like we were under Ike!
But then, these people's heros are McCarthyites, so they'd miss the sarcasm and say "See? That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about!"

Oi.

12. I want to know
what the author of that blissfully misinformed email bought. I think it's great that s/he has enough disposable income so that s/he doesn't have to go to work and is able to spend almost a whole day shopping. What a privileged and fortunate being. No wonder s/he thinks Fuckface was a blessing on our country - s/he's among his base: the haves and the have-mores.

Pity that s/he didn't get an adequate education, one that would have precluded making the vulgar error of using "their" for "they're," but that really is quibbling, isn't it?

The author says "We work so hard for our money...." and yet it seems that s/he doesn't have to work on a Tuesday. Maybe Inauguration Day was a holiday where s/he works, which means that an employer thought the inauguration of a new President was an important enough event that the workers got the day off.

What's most unfortunate is that this person doesn't love our country, but does seem to have a great big crush on Fuckface. That would figure - they are both afflicted with terminal ugliness.

14. Why do these morans need someone to be jealous of them?
She wants to keep it that way, so what's the benefit to her?

These people always reveal their true fear - that they are hollow and have nothing to offer - the only way they can feel good about themselves is to reassure themselves that somebody somewhere doesn't have something they have.

15. Ouch
That makes my brain hurt. :banghead:

I was going to head to the suburb full o' chain stores yesterday morning to do all the Christmas returns quickly and get back in time to catch the inauguration, but then I realized that the only people who were going to be shopping were the wingnuts who didn't want to see Obama on the teevee. So even though I lost out on at least one return because the gift receipt expired yesterday, I stayed home. I didn't want to share my morning with bitter right-wingers.

17. i think these folks don't realize just what they are talking about.
our taxes go to a lot of things that we have come to expect. i mean, look at the peanut butter salmonella outbreak scare. how many similar outbreaks have there been regarding food items in the past few years. there is a reason we have the FDA and agencies whose jobs have been to protect us from unsafe practices. under bush's watch, we have seen the lettuce industry, spinach industry.... gosh, how many sick folks!! how about the drugs that have basically been sent out to the population so we can be the guinea pigs. these are the things our government is supposed to protect us from. these are the things our taxes go to prevent. but by all means, keep thinking how great the republicans have been for us. don't get me wrong, there's enough blame to go around. the dems and republicans are basically two sides of the same coin in many respects. but the republicans led by george bush have reached into our pockets and swiped our wallet. is there no coincidence in the republicans rule and the massive increased defecit!!! the difference is that the republicans take what they can to fatten their friends and leave the rest of us hanging out to dry.
