Get Well, Tony Snow
Yes, we at DU are on just about the opposite side of EVERY issue you speak on for your employer, the President. However, as a loyal DUer, when I listened to your presser today, I was impressed on what you said about Elizabeth Edwards and how you said it. You were honest, sincere and compassionate about Mrs. Edwards. That was a nice feeling to have from you ~~ that you could set politics aside to comment sincerely about her and her illness. Thank you for your comments to and about Mrs. Edwards.

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that when someone is ill your comments were right on ~~ politics does not matter. So sincerely, Mr. Snow, get well soon and best of luck with the surgery you are going to have on Monday. Hope all goes well for you.

A Loyal DUer ~~ Hepburn.

He's still a person. Compassion is what separates us from the RW haters. Some of their comments regarding Elizabeth were disgusting to say the least.

I will never sink to their level. How they can say such things is beyond me.

11. He had colon cancer awhile back....
...and apparently he has some kind of tumor in his abdomen now. They say it does not test as cancer, but they are going in and taking it out to be sure. That is a paraphrase of what he said toward the end of today's presser. He is going to be gone for a few weeks ~~ so it sound like some pretty serious surgery.

78. Snow has looked haggard and ill lately.
I assumed it was from having to lie, lie, lie every time he comes out there - that has to be hard on the body and the soul. But maybe his gaunt appearance is due to this other thing.

It's time to go back to Fox Noise, Tone.

I would not have expected anything less from them. They are just the best people!

Cancer is a horrible disease. My best friend lost her husband to lung cancer that metastasized and went to his brain. He died a year ago last September. I just feel so badly for both of them over this. They were so in love. What a hard thing to go through.

Edit for typo.

And I'll admit that I don't think much of Tony Snow. In fact, I really despise him. But I do hope that he recovers quickly and perhaps learns something from this that he obviously didn't learn last time: life is precious.

He should stop supporting this war, because it is killing thousands of innocent people. There's nothing like a brush with death to make someone appreciate life more.

Get well soon, Tony, and take something from this with you when you return to work in the White House. Make a change happen.

:) Luckily, it seems to be one of the "best" kinds of cancer you can get - I don't remember the technical name, but it's a fairly slow-moving cancer of the thyroid, so they're just going to go ahead and remove her thyroid sometime in mid-April. When I talked to her tonight, she seemed okay with the whole thing - she said she and my dad went to the dr. this afternoon and had a good discussion, asked lots of questions and got lots of info, etc., and she feels pretty much at peace with the whole deal. So we're pretty optimistic about it, but it still was kind of a shock to learn that she has a form of cancer. Thank you for your kind words!

68. i hope that your body heals. And I hope that your judgment follows suit.
lying as a career, well, there are better things to do with your obvious talent. Even returning to Faux gnus would be an improvement. But, is it a surprise that your tumors returned? More doctors and epidemiologists suggest that stress is a killer; it weakens your body's defenses, and makes you more susceptible. The stresses you undergo to baldly lie in front of the cameras each day must be a killer.

Hey Tony? We've been offering to help you for a long time!

If we need any shit from you? We'll squeeze your head!

Hope you survive to lie another day..... seriously.

77. Thank you for this thread
And I add my wishes for him to be okay. Politics aren't important enough for me to be inhumane.
