President Clinton tried to be President of the World.
I was upset when he was worrying about other countries. Guess what, we need a President of the world and I hope Obama does it. He wants to talk to everybody and I think that mature attitude will save the world from itself.

1. While I appreciate he will be a diplomatic, fair President when it
comes to dealing with others, I don't think we need a President of the world. We all have our own leaders, our own specific needs and wants and none of us want to be under control of another country's President. Having our leaders all work together for the honest benefit of the world is what I eventually hope to see.

2. Interesting take. Obama, in these last few days, has seemed to make it clear, he's POTUS.

While taking steps to restore our role in the world at large, he is clearly focused on being our president. Not the president of the world. I'm liking it a lot.

He's sharing the media limelight with other Administration officials, wielding a pen for those Bush Executive Orders he can rescind, meeting and greeting with the press, calling for a broad range of opinions and not uneasy with making the most obvious point - "I won."

:kick:

7. He TRIED to further GHWBush and Kissinger's agenda. Deep-sixing BCCI report was Step one.
to accomplish that goal for the global corporate (fascist) agenda.
