No one is working harder for the Democratic Party than Rush Limbaugh
We owe him a lot of thanks.

He tried to sow disunity with Operation Chaos, but that just succeeded in Republicans taking their eyes off their own primaries and possibly losing their own better candidates.

He has misread the temperament of the country over and over and has overseen dramatic Republican losses in the last 2 general elections.

He is currently cheerleading against the highest rated incoming President in history and swimming against the tide of Country before Party.

He is not especially educated or informed on any particular issues (possible exceptions would be mandatory drug sentencing and cheap flights to the Dominican Republic) yet feels comfortable being the Conservatives' Professor Irwin Correy about any topic.

So, thank you Rush. Thank you for who you are (Please don't change a thing!) and the important work that you do-

Being the Central Face and Mouthpiece for Modern Conservative/Republican Theory (such as it is)

1. we're going to have our own operation chaos in 2012
Since we won't have Democratic primaries to worry about, we can, uh, have some fun with the Republican primaries in 2012, namely to keep the infighting going as long as possible.

4. Keep hoping out loud that our economy and society fail, Rush
You don't have to worry, so what the heck.

Turn up the thermostat and keep the lights on all night like you like to brag about doing. Keep running those ads about the incredible filets and prime ribs you like to keep on hand from the Allen Brothers. which works out to around $30 a pound which is pretty much what we all pay for meat. You're just one of us, Rush.

7. bullshit
Operation Chaos was hardly a failure in Indiana. There are many of us that strongly believe that it was the direct cause of Hillary defeating Obama in this state.

Name one GOP candidate that lost out to a "lesser" nominee because of Limbaugh's effort?

you write,
"He has misread the temperament of the country over and over and has overseen dramatic Republican losses in the last 2 general elections."

While Rush is certainly powerful, he was not the guy making the decisions that cast this country over a cliff. A guy can only do so much window dressing to make shit look palatable. In short, it wasn't Rush that "oversaw" the dramatic GOP losses, it was the American public that finally realized that they were not being rained on but pissed on.

you write,
"He is currently cheerleading against the highest rated incoming President in history and swimming against the tide of Country before Party."

Rush is like water. His work is slow, deliberate, constant and forceful. I will admit that he has made, I believe, a huge mistake in timing his latest "failure" attack on Obama. After a few months of daily attacks, his flock will come back together and march in the same direction again. Bank on it!

I think the Rush Limbaugh isn't that important anymore message is a red herring and incorrect. He is centrally important to the right wing propaganda message and his influence has not waned yet.
