Republicans were a business that were allowed to fail; they were incompetent
and they failed; so they should just practice what they preach. Incompetent businesses should be allowed to fail and then go away--Newt says so.

1. But They Haven't Gone Away...
This party long ago went from being a business to a syndicate...catering to the rich and elite and shaking down the poor bastards. It's been propped up for years on its own welfare system...the parallel universe. It's the money of the Mellon-Scaiffes and DeVos and other that went to funding a substructure of "think tanks" and lobbying and special interest PACs that were only designed to serve the elite. The game worked while they won elections and could either bribe or intimidate their way into power...but their greed and stupidity finally caught up with them.

I'll bet the Newtmeister was probably trying to sell his usual bullshit of the GOOP "abandoning Conservatism"...his way to detach himself from the mess his "Contract on America" helped sheppard and try to remain relevant in a party that continues to fall further over the right wing abyss into irrelevance.
