Schumer slams Graham re spending: Where were you when Bush spent $1 trillion on Iraq war?
Where were you when Bush gave away $300 billion in tax breaks for the rich?
Where were you when Bush squandered billions of dollars of surplus left by Clinton?

George Stephanopoulos then quickly changed the subject before the feathers could fly.

(from "This Week" television show)

2. Schumer is on the tongue of every rw talker in my local area
They are looking to take him down with his statement about "American's don't care about the pork in this bill", which I think is primarily true, but it's become a banner statement for them.

He's going to need some of our support to deflect this crap they are spewing.

3. It's about time someone said it!
When John McCain and the other Republicans talk about "generational theft"...ask them why it wasn't generational theft to give billions to Haliburton.

6. HOLY COW!#!?#! Did you ever hit the nail on the head: "talk about "generational theft!!!" (more)

I would call the needless sacrifice of over 4,000 young Americans the epitome of GENERATIONAL THEFT

I would call the Republican squandering of $1 trillion on the Iraq war, GENERATIONAL THEFT

I would call the Republican squandering of countless BILLIONS of surplus left us by the Clinton administration, GENERATIONAL THEFT

I would call the Republican squandering of BILLIONS on Halliburton, GENERATIONAL THEFT

I would call the dastastardly loss of our nation's good will and dignity, GENERATIONAL THEFT

I would call the shredding of our nation's heart, the Constitution, as GENERATIONAL THEFT

4. That is the way the Democrats need to be
They need to turn this partisanship right back on the GOP.

9. Because the previous expenditure did not benefit the citizens of the US. This bill does.
