Does your local paper cover local government well?
I was just sitting around and thinking, and I realized my local paper doesn't really cover local government at all. They print the "agenda" in tiny little type, and that's about it.
Maybe this is because I live in a rural area where not much happens that is newsworthy. They cover the local and county government meetings and issues very thoroughly.
3. The local media here in Bryan-College Station Texas
tend to cover any foibles in the city/county governments in the surrounding areas but shy away from any real in depth reporting of Bryan, College Station and the administration of Texas A & M. A few years ago the local TV station and paper were given a appreciation dinner and award by the cities and university. That should tell you how well they do their job.
