there are a lot of links in the doc. For the html impaired, is there any way for me to copy the Word doc and paste it as a post w/links without rewriting all the links. I'm sorry to be so stupid. :blush: )

12. I don't know if there's a quick fix, and I don't have Word in front of me, but

you may be able to shorten things up by using the VIEW menu to view the document in html mode and then do some strategic find and replace work.

Then to post here: you'd find and replace < with [ and >
with ] (carefully)

Html doesn't seem to be one of the choices. "Save as web page" is, though.

13. Got it but, even after saving as "web page", I can't get it to display

the formatting but only the "finished" blue link. If I could get there, I could replace with DU - friendly brackets.

15. Okay, then try save as text - see if you can get the links from either

the saved text file or the save as text html doc.

Then copy and past to Notepad, ferinstance. Then very carefully, do global find and replace the <> with their square brethren. :D

DU link formatting hates the http:// in a
[link:exampleoflink|name of example link] tag.

Remember to replace http:// with [link:put the link here
then|then text of link]

There's no way, though, to change the slashes to pipes without going wrong. That's the rub. Because you want to keep some slashes. I think I got this one right
