Business Booming at 'Breastaurants': Cheap Food, Beer and Sexy Women
New Competition for Hooters in Texas as More Chains Offer Affordable Food, Plus Flirtation

The restaurant chain Hooters had the market cornered when it came to affordable food and a scantily clad, attractive wait staff. Lately, however, competition is, well, busting out all over the place. Imitation chains such as Twin Peaks and Bone Daddy's are both flourishing, as is the original.
Sexy still sells at restaurants serving up cheap food with a side of flirtation.

While the downturn in the economy has forced many chain restaurants to close, Hooters brought in a billion dollars in sales in 2008, a 2 percent increase from 2007.

"Business is good," said Mike Herrick, the company's vice president. "It's the great escape ... You come here when you get a job, you come here when you get a pink slip."

7. I never understood what the big deal was with Hooters.

Maybe it's because I'm in Los Angeles, and most of the girls eating there aren't wearing much more than the waitresses, but to me it just seems like an overpriced, greasy food chain.

You lose your job, you hate your current job, your life sucks either way.

So you go to a restaurant full of attractive waitresses, extremely sexual looking and friendly. You know in your heart of hearts that you could never win the love of women like this; you could only pay for it, and you know that would be a fraud and a lie to yourself.

I'm surprised no one has checked the number of suicides who just got done eating at Hooter's.
