The Bonfire of the Vanities?
Does anyone remember that book by Tom Wolfe?

There were those on Wall Street who thought they were the "masters of the universe". They were entitled to whatever they could sell or steal. There was no guilt involved. They wanted to live in the best homes and drive the best cars. Money was the key to life. They even looked down their noses at the simple stock traders on Wall Street. No one was as smart as they, the masters of the universe.

It seems so real when we read about the huge bonuses and the lack of any responsibility or feelings of guilt for the damage they have done to our economy and our country. There is no justice if these folks are not made to pay a price for their greed and lack of compassion...

1. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Check out the article in this thread.
It is by Matt Taibi, from Rolling Stone. An incredible article. I sent a link to virtually everyone I know.

2. Great book , crappy movie
The movie really didn't get much, if any, of the feel of the book. I couldn't believe Tom Hanks was cast, when to me the book SCREAMED for William Hurt or James Spader in the role. Melanie Griffith was also a huge mistake as the mistress.
